- The platform provides an opportunity for points of acceptance to provide double discounts for Extra and Business level bercode owners.
- The platform also provides an opportunity for points of acceptance to set different discounts for bercode issuers. On request, the discounts available can be excluded or limited to up to 1 bercode issuer. The level of bercode used when becoming a bercode point of acceptance determines that the members of a limited (1, 2, 10 or 20) or even an unlimited number of bercode issuer will see the product and service locations of the given point of acceptance.
Can discounts be differentiated?
To what extent the discount should be provided to bercode-owners?
There is no minimum discount defined in the Bercode platform. Logically, the higher the discount rate, the greater the inspiration for bercode owners to make a purchase at that particular point of acceptance. The higher the acquisition commission you pay (at least 3% or multiples thereof) as a priority merchant, the greater the inspiration for bercode issuers to offer your acceptance site to their own communities, thus providing you with potential additional traffic.
What kind of information do legal statements contain?
The legal notices contain legal, user and practical information regarding the use of the Bercode platform, terms and conditions, regulations and agreements concerning the roles of owner, issuer and merchant.
Are there any products or services that are excluded from the discount?
Clause 3.7 of Annex 3 to the Terms of use regulates the products and services that are excluded from the scope of discounts, these are the followings: highway toll vignettes, tobacco products, tires, public transport tickets, mobile phone recharge and mobile phone recharge cards, LPG, coursebooks, newspapers, and prescription-only products.
Why is it good to provide a double discount on Extra and Business bercode?
With special discounts, you can motivate a narrower but more solvent customer base to buy from you.
How often is the data exchanged between the platform and the point of acceptance?
At least once a day, but in most cases in real time.
Is there a cost to set up an API connection?
The platform provides the API connection to its partners free of charge. (On partner site may incur internal costs associated with setting up the API.)
What does data communication enabling mean?
This setting is required for the point of acceptance to automatically provide data on purchases made with bercodes using a dedicated data connection (API). Priority merchant partners must allow this. The relevant information is detailed in Section 4 of Annex 3 to the Terms of use.
What does superadministrator access level mean?
By default, a superadministrator is any user who creates a given partner profile. You can only waive this right if you have in the meantime invited another user as a superadministrator.
In what cases does a bercode issuer usually restrict the display of point of acceptance?
This is viable if, for example, an issuer enters into an agreement with a merchant that, in exchange for higher discounts, may only offer that merchant to members of his/her community.

Does the name and e-mail address entered incorrectly during registration affect the use of the platform?
The inaccurate name not, but the email address yes. In the latter case, you must immediately enter the platform and change the e-mail address to correct one, because without it e.g. password reminder can no longer be requested.
Can I re-register again with the same email address?
No, because the primary ID is the email address.
How do I delete a Bercode account?
In the Bercode owner services role in the Profile Data submenu, clicking the Delete User button at the bottom right of the page will permanently (irreversibly) delete that user account.
Is it possible to increase or decrease the balance in cash?
No, only credit or transfer methods are available.
If someone joins a friend’s business as a Priority Merchant, will he/she receive a commission on it´s purchases?
Yes, if the merchant connects to the platform with his/her bercode. The business model is shown in this infographics.
What does the term „Merchants offering turnover information only” mean?
Acceptance points that undertake to record traffic data (i.e., issuers see the benefits achieved by community members) but do not undertake to pay commissions.
